New Zealand has many world class institutions which offer degrees and diplomas in various disciplines. Whitireia Community Polytechnic, Waikato Institute of Technology, Waiariki Institute of Technology, Manukau Institute of Technology, Auckland Institute of Studies, Western Institute of Technology Taranaki, Southern Institute of Technology, North Tech Polytechnic are worth mentioning.
To get admission into one of their under-graduate programmes, the admission is based on HSC with IELTS or TOEFL. Admission into Master’s programmes is decided upon individual application to different universities. There is no application fees required. The admission and application process in New Zealand is easier than any other country.
The application and intake process in New Zealand is divided majorly into three parts these are February, November and July. The eligibility here is at least an average of 5.5 bands with no bands under 5.0. IELTS are not required in some universities but mandatory in most.
The cost of education in New Zealand varies from institution to institution and also the subject of study, just like any other country. The average costs are – 14,000 – 19,000 NZD per year for Diploma or Higher diploma, 18000 – 30000 NZD per year for Bachelors and 19000 – 32000 NZD per year for Masters.
